Invasive Brush in Winchester, OH — Honeysuckle and Rose Cleared
Honeysuckle, multiflora rose and vines are crowding out your land. We clear them, and we help woodland owners keep their CAUV tax savings.
Representative photo, not a BAHM job site.
Invasive brush spreads fast, and it takes over. Honeysuckle, multiflora rose and thick vines choke out young trees and open ground. Cutting it once only starts the clock, because it resprouts. Invasive brush removal in Winchester, OH clears the growth at ground level, and we talk through follow-up with you. If your woods are enrolled in Ohio's CAUV tax program, this work can also help show active care of the land. Call (937) 779-9461 to get started.

Risk Losing Your Ohio CAUV Tax Reduction? We Help Bring Your Woodland Into Compliance.
Don't let your wooded acreage get removed from CAUV tax savings. From invasive species clearing and timber management practices to active site work, we do the mechanical land work your Forest Management Plan calls for.
CAUV is Ohio's Current Agricultural Use Value program. Your county auditor decides who qualifies. We do the land work, and we do not give tax or legal advice.
When You Need Invasive Brush
You need help when one plant has taken over. Honeysuckle makes a dense wall under the trees. Multiflora rose grows thorny thickets in fields and fence rows. Vines climb trees and pull them down. These plants spread by seed and by their roots, so a small patch becomes a big one in a few seasons.
Is your property flagged for passive recreational use? Woodland in the CAUV program is meant to be managed for timber. Commercial timber needs at least 10 acres and a management plan from a certified forester. Woods held only for fun, with no active care, may not qualify. If the county takes land out of CAUV, the owner repays the tax savings from the last three years. Renewals are due the first Monday in March.
Autumn olive, bush honeysuckle, privet and Tree-of-Heaven are common in Southern Ohio woods. If you are not sure what you have, we walk the ground with you and name what is there before we cut. Invasive growth often resprouts, so cleared ground needs mowing and follow-up.
CAUV woodland work
Four jobs your woodland plan may call for.
We turn your Forest Management Plan into work on the ground. Each card pairs what CAUV asks for with what we do.
Invasive species and brush
CAUV woodland should grow timber, not Autumn olive, bush honeysuckle or Tree-of-Heaven. We use forestry mulching, brush clearing and mechanical clearing to open the stand back up.
Harvest preparation and TSI
A plan shows steady progress toward a harvest, with access and crop trees picked. We clear the understory, cut access lanes and manage density so logging and regrowth are easier.
Access roads and firebreaks
Equipment, emergency crews and you all need a way in. We do right-of-way (ROW) clearing, skid trail clearing and grading for long-term access.
Boundary clearing and debris
Clear property lines and tidy slash after a storm or thinning keep the woods in order. We do mass clearing, grubbing and slash processing.
Our Invasive Brush Process
Send us your plan or your auditor letter, and we turn it into a work list. Invasives come back from the roots, so the plan covers follow-up too.
Plan and audit review
Send us your Forest Management Plan or your county auditor letter, and the address. If you have neither, tell us about the patch and we start there.
On-site assessment
We walk your woods and find the problem areas, like brush buildup, blocked access and invasive plants. We mark any trees or plants you want to keep.
Mechanical execution
A tracked machine grinds the growth to ground level and leaves chips in place. We give you photos and a work record for your yearly CAUV renewal, and plan follow-up with you.
Send the plan or the letter and the address. We help you work out what you have and give you a fixed price in writing.
Scope of work
What Invasive Brush Includes.
We do the work in the agreed scope. A few jobs that come up are separate, and they are only done if they are written into your quote.
Included in Invasive Brush
- Invasive growth ground to ground level, chips left in place
- Access lanes, skid trails and boundary lines cleared as planned
- Trees and plants you want kept marked and avoided
- A walk of the ground, with photos and a work record for your CAUV renewal
Separate scope
- Herbicide or chemical treatment
- Forest Management Plans, tax or legal advice
- Large tree removal
- Stump grinding
If your project needs one of these, we say so on the walk, before the quote.
Invasive Brush Cost in Winchester, OH
The size of the infested area, how thick the growth is, the slope, access for the machine, and any follow-up you want all affect the price. A small patch costs far less than a whole field of honeysuckle.
Compare the cost of clearing with the cost of losing your CAUV rate. Removal means paying back three years of tax savings, so clearing before the March renewal can protect them.
You get a fixed price in writing before we start, and it does not change without your approval. The estimate is free, with no trip fee. Want a ballpark first? Try the cost estimator.
