Pricing and quotes

How much does forestry mulching cost?

It's priced by the area to clear, then adjusted for how thick the growth is, how steep the ground is, how hard it is to reach, and the finish you want. The estimator gives a planning range in a minute. A fixed quote follows once we've seen the property.

Is the estimator the final price?

No. It's a range to help you plan. The fixed price comes after we've seen the property, and we don't raise it without your approval.

Do you charge for quotes?

No. Estimates are free and there is no trip fee.

Can I clear just part of my property?

Yes. We price the area inside the line you flag, and you can add sections later.

How the work goes

What happens first?

You send the address and a few details. We call, look at photos or walk the property, flag the boundary with you and send a quote.

How long does a job take?

Small residential areas can take a day. Larger or steeper properties take longer. The schedule is in your quote.

Do I need to be home?

No. We agree on the boundary, access and what stays before we start. You're welcome to watch.

Can I pick which areas go first?

Yes. Tell us your priorities and we'll plan the work around them.

Trees, soil and what's left behind

Do you remove large trees?

Mulching handles brush, vines, saplings and small trees. We confirm the size limit for your site at the walk-through. Large tree removal and stump grinding are not part of the job unless they are written into your quote.

What do you do with the mulch?

It stays on the ground as a layer of wood chips. It covers the soil, slows erosion and breaks down over time.

Will it damage my soil or yard?

Tracked machines are lighter on the ground than wheeled ones, but no heavy equipment is damage-free. Wet soil and steep ground can rut. We check conditions first and tell you if we'd rather wait.

Can you work around trees I want to keep?

Yes. We tag them with you before we start and work around them.

After the work

Will it grow back?

Some of it, yes, especially invasive plants that resprout from their roots. Regular mowing keeps it open. For invasives, ask about follow-up options.

Do I need a permit?

Many residential jobs don't, but rules vary by county, township and site, especially near streams and wetlands. We'll point out what to check. Confirm with your local office before work starts.

Can you do the digging after you clear?

Yes. We offer excavation and site work, so clearing and digging can be planned as one project. If another contractor comes next, we'll plan the handoff with them.

Tell us what's overgrown.

Send the address and what you want the land to become. You get a fixed price before we start.
